The successful candidate will be an integral part of CEU’s Alumni Relations Office and be responsible for alumni volunteers’ engagement. Under supervision of the Head of Alumni Relations s/he will help conceptualize, plan and implement opportunities to connect and engage alumni as volunteers for CEU in ways that support and promote its mission. Furthermore, the coordinator will be responsible for the promotion, selection and implementation of the flagship Alumni Scholarship Program.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of CEU’s Alumni Relations Office and be responsible for alumni volunteers’ engagement. Under supervision of the Head of Alumni Relations s/he will help conceptualize, plan and implement opportunities to connect and engage alumni as volunteers for CEU in ways that support and promote its mission. Furthermore, the coordinator will be responsible for the promotion, selection and implementation of the flagship Alumni Scholarship Program.

Alumni volunteering is one of the key pillars of alumni engagement. Hundreds of CEU alumni around the world volunteer their time and talents every day to help strengthen the university’s global network, to help recruit talented students and to advance the careers of fellow grads and students. Duties and responsibilities

Major roles and responsibilities include:

  • Cultivate alumni relationships to increase activity and number of local chapters and serve as a staff lead;
  • Engage and match alumni with fitting volunteer opportunities, working closely with other CEU units, including Career Services and Student Recruitment offices;
  • Organize annual Alumni Leadership Forum;
  • Track engagement and recognize alumni volunteers;
  • Serve as staff lead for the promotion, selection and implementation of the Alumni Scholarship program;
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience

 Essential:

  • Minimum BA degree;
  • Demonstrated volunteer management skills with the ability to build long-term relationships with constituents;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues from the office and other units, alumni and other constituents to assure the success of the Alumni Volunteer Program and Alumni Scholarship Program;
  • Strong communication and writing skills: able to interact confidently with a variety of constituents and clearly convey information in writing and in person;
  • Excellent knowledge of English in both oral and written communication;
  • Dynamic and creative;
  • Demonstrated program management and organizational skills;
  • Proven special event development and implementation skills;
  • Tactful and diplomatic;
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and cope with competing deadlines;
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Desirable:

  • CRM database use;
  • Website management including use of social media;
  • Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes;
  • Experience of working in a higher education environment.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience as well as a dynamic and international academic environment. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
