The Student Recruitment Office at Central European University invites applications for part-time Student Recruitment Assistant position. The successful candidate will Reporting directly to the Head of Student Recruitment, the Recruitment Assistant works together and strengthen cooperation with CEU’s external partners in order to raise the profile of the University and facilitate increased high quality student applications.

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Build and sustain effective relationship and strengthen cooperation with CEU’s external partners
  • Engage external partners (youth organizations, NGOs, embassies and governmental organizations) in CEU’s recruitment activities worldwide
  • Design project plans for outreach and promotion opportunities and timelines for a pool of partners
  • Act as project manager for outreach projects and events
  • Arrange the distribution of CEU’s recruitment materials to its partners internationally
  • Organize content-based on campus events and student group visits with external partners
  • Hold recruitment presentations to partners as well as to prospect groups
  • Update and maintain database of partner organizations and activities
  • Broaden, cooperation network, benchmark effectiveness of activities
  • Act as a key liaison point to CEU’s Summer University
  • Act as project manager for student recruitment degree program outreach projects and campaigns for CEU on-site non-degree students
  • Work closely with CEU’s academic units and other stakeholders to develop recruitment strategies and facilitate appropriate faculty and other departmental involvement in recruitment campaigns and activities
  • Respond to emails and inquiries from prospective students and partners

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • 1-2 years of work experience in multicultural environment and/or in a higher education institution
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing pro-active, flexible and service-oriented personality
  • Positive, open and enthusiastic solution-oriented
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic and highly organized team player
  • Strong PR and presentation skills
  • Relevant experience in event management skills
  • Committed to learning and professional development
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with databases
  • Comfortable with advising students from various backgrounds and nationalities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Essential to be accurate, punctual and detail-oriented

 The job requires:

  • Flexibility in working hours: irregular working hours on weekdays and during weekends to be expected, especially during recruitment peak seasons (September – January)
  • To work under strict deadlines and changing and multiple priorities

 Compensation

We offer a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience as well as a dynamic and international academic environment. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
