The Student Records Office at Central European University invites applications for a Student Records Database Assistant position. The office is responsible for overseeing enrollment, matriculation, course registration, credit transfer, the preparation of diplomas, issuing transcripts and certificates upon request, as well as keeping students’ academic records. It also monitors the submission of grades, and administers the conferring of various academic achievement awards. Furthermore, SRO coordinates the Apostille procedure, provides assistance regarding degree verification, and manages the functions of the information systems of the university related to academic matters.

The Student Records Office at Central European University invites applications for a Student Records Database Assistant position. The office is responsible for overseeing enrollment, matriculation, course registration, credit transfer, the preparation of diplomas, issuing transcripts and certificates upon request, as well as keeping students’ academic records. It also monitors the submission of grades, and administers the conferring of various academic achievement awards. Furthermore, SRO coordinates the Apostille procedure, provides assistance regarding degree verification, and manages the functions of the information systems of the university related to academic matters.

The successful candidate will provide administrative assistance to the office in the following:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Handles the university information systems (UIS, SITS) - administering and entering course and student (enrollment) data
  • Filing, issuing and maintaining student documents, records
  • Handles general inquiries regarding SRO related matters
  • Liaising with department coordinators and colleagues from other units of CEU

Qualifications:

  • Precision, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and keeping the deadlines
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills;
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience of working in multicultural environment and/or at a university
  • Pro-active personality with very good problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written) in English
  • Higher level computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Experience in working with databases, especially in an academic environment

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience as well as a dynamic, supportive and international academic environment. The position is fixed term for one year.
