 The IT Department of the Central European University invites applications for a part-time IT Support Specialist position for the Budapest Nádor utca 9 campus and occasionally for the Kerepesi út 87 student dormitory.

 Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Provide high-quality in-person, telephone, and email support, in English and Hungarian, to users experiencing IT issues, e.g. problems with hardware, software, networking;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of local IT processes and administrative procedures;
  • Administer the life cycle of IT assets;
  • Supply reports to the IT Helpdesk manager; and
  • Act as an interface / primary contact person for IT support at CEU.

 Requirements:

  • High school or college degree;
  • Good communication skills in Hungarian and in English (at least at the intermediate level);
  • Excellent IT skills (Windows, Office, basic network, and hardware skills);
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently, when required;
  • Client-oriented mentality; and
  • IT support experience, Microsoft Office365-related knowledge is an advantage.
