Full or Part Time:                 Part-time (8 teaching hours a week, in the afternoon and evening)

Central European University is seeking an experienced German teacher to join the Foreign Language Team of the Center for Academic Writing.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Teaching German classes
  • Preparing teaching material for the courses
  • Preparing and correcting placement tests during registration periods
  • Submitting grades in a timely fashion
  • Keeping a register of class attendance

Selection Criteria:

  • BA or higher degree and a teacher training degree/course in German is essential
  • Experience teaching in a multicultural environment
  • Evidence of excellence and experience in the field of German teaching
  • Minimum intermediate level of English

Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly rate, as well as a dynamic, supportive, and international academic environment. The initial contract is for one year with a possibility of renewal.
