Community Engagement Assistant

The Community Engagement Office at Central European University invites applications for a Community Engagement Assistant position.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Working closely together with Acting Director, Community Engagement Office and Student leadership and engagement officer and coordinator
- Management of the common email account and office calendar
- Day-to-day administrative assistance to students during office hours and via email communication
- Knowledge of social media platforms and web content editing, regular update of unit’s website and Facebook page
- Assistance in Welcome Events and Orientation Week
- Assisting with Graduation tasks
- Assistance with community engagement projects and activities
- Assisting in organizing and managing large scale, community building events
Qualifications:
- College/university degree
- Fluency in English and Hungarian. German knowledge is an advantage
- Full computer literacy, confident use and good working knowledge of MS Office programs required, as well as some experience with databases, knowledge of Prezi
- Precision, attention to detail, priority-setting, multitasking
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Friendly, attentive and proactive, customer-oriented attitude
- Experience of working in multicultural environment and/or at a university and customer service experience are an advantage
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group
