    Central European University (CEU) invites applications for two Postdoctoral Fellows in Romani Studies as part of the Roma in European Societies (RES) initiative. The fellowships are for one year.
    CEU’s Roma in European Societies is a collaborative initiative supporting efforts to improve the situation of Roma in all sectors at the local, national, and regional levels through teaching, course development and research, leadership development, and community outreach. RES is funded by the Velux Foundations, Roma Education Fund and the OSF Roma Initiatives Office.
    The Postdoctoral Fellows will pursue research in the area of social studies. The research is expected to be published and represent a significant contribution to the knowledge production on Roma. Preferably, the fellows will be based at CEU RES premises in Budapest. In case a selected applicant does not wish to relocate to Budapest, he/she will need external supervision from a qualified scholar in their field of research, affiliated with a university or research center. The fellow will need to submit a written agreement from a scholar regarding the supervision of its work as part of the application package.

    Central European University (CEU) invites applications for two Junior Visiting Researchers in Romani Studies as part of the Roma in European Societies (RES) initiative. The positions are for one year. The two Junior Researchers will work closely with CEU Chair of Romani Studies.
    CEU’s Roma in European Societies is a collaborative initiative supporting efforts to improve the situation of Roma in all sectors at the local, national, and regional levels through teaching, course development, research, leadership development, and community outreach. RES is funded by the Velux Foundations, Roma Education Fund and the OSF Roma Initiatives Office.
    The Junior Visiting Researchers will be contribute to RES activities by carrying out their own research projects. Other activities might include organizing seminars, conferences, debates and other events or tasks assigned by the Chair of Romani Studies. The Junior Visiting Researchers will be based at the RES office in Budapest, Hungary.

    The Center for Network Science invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in the area of Network Science and Data Science. We expect applications from network scientists with an excellent publication record on theory and applications of complex networks. The candidate should be an expert in at least one area of applications in network science (for example: social networks, economic networks, communication networks, or ecological networks). The candidate should also have strong motivation for interdisciplinary research (especially with the social sciences), have experience in working with large datasets and be interested in participating in projects of several departments at CEU. Capability of high quality teaching is assumed. The Center for Network Science was established as an interdisciplinary unit, integrating natural science and social science approaches. Candidates should have a PhD in a related field. We expect candidates at all levels.

    Central European University (CEU) seeks two academic technologists to work collaboratively to support online learning, instructional design, and collaborative technologies at a highly regarded international graduate institution. This is an exciting opportunity to promote and support academic technologies for teaching, learning and research. Both positions will work with faculty, staff and students to support design and development of new and existing blended or online course offerings utilizing appropriate e-learning tools, course management systems, and distance learning technologies.
    We envision that one position will focus more heavily on instructional design and online content development and the other on collaborative technologies and distance learning, although there will be distinct synergy between the two. Both positions require strong technical background as well as knowledge and experience with e-learning tools, instructional design, and online pedagogy. The successful applicants will work with other campus partners to promote and evaluate effective technologies, as well as strategies and best practices for e-learning.
